Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management Fundraiser!

The importance of our fundraiser to to raise money to put towards projects on the farm. This will directly impact our program as well as the cows. We are hoping to raise awareness for our farm and receive support to improve both the lives of our cows and the management of the barn. This fundraiser will also support educational opportunities for the current students in the program.

CREAM stands for Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management. CREAM is a program in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at the University of Vermont. This program places emphasis on experiential learning to develop interpersonal, teamwork, and practical problem-solving skills while working on a dairy farm. There are currently over 100 registered Holstein on the farm with 56 cows being milked at any given time. It is one of the highest producing and genetically superior herds in Vermont. Currently we have the second best genetically heard in the country out of all colleges. This spring and fall semester program offers 8 credits (4 per semester) to 15-25 students each year as well as a program running during the summer time (4 credits).
