About this campaign
Brooklynne Mathis is a 12 year old Metcalfe County resident and student at Metcalfe County Middle School, who has recently been diagnosed with AML Leukemia. Her parents are staying in Louisville with her, away from home and their 3 other children, as they help Brooklynne in the fight of her life. Staying away from home is not cheap and the bills don't care if your child is sick or not. This fundraiser is to help Brooklynne's family in this time of need.

On March 9th Brooklynne had a nose bleed that would not stop. When all home remedies failed to work her parents took her to the ER. Once there they packed her nostril and done some blood work due to her pale color. The doctor came in and told her parents that her blood counts were so low that they could not help her there and he was sending her to Louisville to the Children's Hospital.
Once there the doctors began doing all types of blood work and testing and what her parents thought was a "bad nose bleed" turned out to be AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).
Brooklynne is a vibrant, smart, and respectful young lady who tries to put a smile on everyone's face she meets. She is part of the Metcalfe Little League Football family as you will find her smiling face working the concession stand on game days. She loves her Hornets!!! She loves drawing, art, music, reading, and playing with her sister and brothers. Like most tweens she enjoys sleepovers with her friends and just hanging out. She is a strong kiddo though so we know that she will beat this too.
