Our 2024-25 season kicks off September 26, 2024 and we're excited to get the year going! Help us raise funds to ensure our season is the best it can be.

You know City Lights is a major cultural asset. Perhaps you value our artistic quality, the exuberance of our shows, or our risk-taking scripts? Whatever the reason, we’re glad you’re here. In a pricey area that’s tough for nonprofits, we’re proud that City Lights, a registered 501(c)(3), closed 16 straight years in the black before Covid-19.

Please donate and help us keep creating innovative theater during a challenging rebuilding time for our industry.

Since 1982, City Lights Theater Company has been inspiring and challenging audiences with a host of plays and musicals, many of them fresh new works. The company’s downtown San Jose theater is a bustling space that attracts artists, educators, students, and playgoers alike.
