Based in Arlington, Virginia, VVMF (the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund) is the nonprofit organization authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1980 to build a national memorial dedicated to all who served with the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War. The result was the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (commonly referred to as The Wall), which has become one of the most visited memorials in Washington, D.C. with an estimated 5.6 million annual visitors. Since the dedication of The Wall, VVMF has pursued a mission of preserving the legacy of The Wall, promoting healing and educating about the impact of the Vietnam War. Purchasing this shirt in honor of my brother, Daniel Anders, who passed away on December 24, 1922, from leukemia with a high probability that it was caused by Agent Orange.

My Dad, Daniel Akins, was drafted in 68 and served in Vietnam thru 70. He returned home when many others did not, but his body continued to fight an unseen enemy due to exposure to Agent Orange, but never gave up!
